​What are the unspoken rules that former lovers must follow?

• Never reach for them at dawn.

• Never speak their name when drunk.

• Never hesitate to discard the things you shared.

Among these, perhaps the most crucial rule that all must follow is this:

• Never, under any circumstances, entangle your body with a former lover.

 
And yet...
 
"You're saying you've been cursed with 'The Naim'?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"That's right," he replied, his eyes never leaving hers.
 
The Naim - a curse that turns one flesh to stone.
Its hallmark: the etching of 'someone's name' near the victim's heart.
 
Only two methods existed to lift this curse:
Either have it dispelled, or become intimately acquainted with the name's owner.
 
"So, tell me," Beatrice locked eyes with the man before her.
 
"Whose name, is it?"
 
Erich's lips curved into that crooked smile she remembered too well. He raised one elegant finger, pointing directly at her.
